This review is for lunch. I would give 2.5 star, rounded up to 3. I came here during lunch. Service is friendly and food is on par. It is not a fancy Japanese restaurant but more Asian fusion place that caters to a variety of tastes. I ordered a lunch combo which comes with two sushi rolls. It costs 15 bucks. Maybe I have a big appetite , a 15 bucks lunch should at least make me full instead of hungry. Not very happy about it.

First trip to Siu's. It was fun! As usual during lunchtime, the shopping center parking lot was busy, but a few spots were available. We took a table for two just inside the window; it was a little warm, a little noisy, a little bustling, but all were understandable for a place that seems extremely popular. We ordered: * Cooked eel sushi ( two pieces, delish, warm, flavorable ). * Raw tuna sashimi ( three pieces, fresh, not fishy ). * Fried Tempura Dinner; shrimp, broccoli, turnip, cucumber, sweet potato ( plenty of food, needed a bit of salt, warm and fresh, a tad greasy ). * Singapore Mai Fun Noodle ( Enough for three people, warm, fresh, but seasonings not evenly distributed. When I encountered the well-seasoned portions it was good, the rest was a little faint ). Good for a change, we'll probably go back, but the above dishes totaled about $42 before tip. On the other hand, too much food for two people, so we'll know better how to order next time.

I order delivery from this place 2 or 3 times a month ever since I moved to the area. They definitely have better Chinese food than anyone else in this area, but not the best I have ever had. They usually are more polite when dining in rather than over the phone but either way the food is great. Delivery time varies but most of the time I'm told an hour so I usually order ahead of time so by the time the food gets here it's when I planned to eat. Some of the food is priced understandably and some is just a tad over priced. I have had the "Caught in a bad Romance" Roll, very delicious $11 or so but it comes with 6 very large rolls California rolls are very standard as they are at most places. ( & only like $5) Combination Lo Mein and fried rice are full of flavor and not overly greasy like most places- regularly priced Sweet and sour chicken is a little too breaded but the general Tso's is much more tasty. Overall, great place and I shall continue to order from them only because of the food.

Mediocre sushi. I've had better and I've had worse. It'll get the job done. Small seating area for dine in or call in an order to go.

I've been here twice now. Sushi rolls are ok and the specialty rolls are small and doesn't have much fish. What makes this 2 stars is the terrible service. I waited almost 40 minutes before my siu's sushi specialty roll and lunch special came out and it did not look like the roll I ordered. The waitress told insisted I was wrong and only when I asked another lady who looked like the owner did they say it was the wrong roll and took another 10 minutes making the correct roll. The curry chicken I also ordered was average too. It seems like a busy carryout place but I don't think I will give this place another try.

We've lived in Montgomery County for going on a year, and somehow hadn't happened to find a good chinese place in that time. As cravings reached a fevered pitch, I turned to yelp, and after calling numerous places too far away to deliver, I found this little treat, hidden under my nose on a street I frequent every week. Somehow I passed by them this whole year, which makes me seriously reconsider my own level of observation. After seeing that the yelp community generally had good things to say, we decided to give them a try, and yes, they were good. We got 2 dishes: Sweet and sour chicken and kung pao chicken. Both were cooked well and served in plenty, and worked well with the spring rolls and crab rangoon we added. It ended up being around $30 for the meal, though, which is a little pricey for chinese food. Some people I know don't like their sweet and sour chicken so deep fried, but it fit my taste very well. The whole meal reminded me very much of the old Chinese place I used to frequent when I lived in Arlington, which will have me coming back to Siu's. Oh, and they deliver quickly. I was told 45 minutes, so I thought I had time to get a shower. Part way through my shower my phone starts ringing, and the guy is outside with my food, leaving me coming out to claim my yield half clean. Hey, I won't complain about them being early - I'm just sorry I made the guy wait and have to call me 3 times before I heard my phone. He was a good sport, though, and was very nice. Give these guys a try.

I went here with my husband for lunch and they were rude from the moment we asked for the lunch menu. At one point I looked up and the staff was sitting down eating and pointing at us. When I said something they all started whispering. One staff came and stood by our table and kept asking if we were done. We finally said yes. (Mind you the place was empty) she had the check in her hand ready to go. We've never felt so rushed out of a place. The food was ok. Definitely won't be going back.

Being new to silver spring I was determined to find a good Asian restaurant nearby and Sui's has definitely taken the cake! My husband and I have been there three times in the past two weeks and the food is consistently amazing. I highly recommend their spicy combo roll!

I was just getting over a cold and I needed some hot soup to soothe my throat. I was at work and I didn't know many restaurants around here, but I wanted something that wasn't far. I saw the help reviews and decided to give this place a try. I called in my order and the lady was very nice and told me ten minutes. They didn't have exactly what I wanted but I just wanted some hot soup so I ordered wonton soup, egg drop, and combination fried rice. I picked up my order and the restaurant was nice and clean but small. They were not that busy inside but I could tell they were more of a to go place and were busy cooking in the back. Wonton Soup- If you are excepting yummy shrimp wontons then you will be disappointed like I was. These wontons had thick doughy wrappers and very little meat. Inside was ground pork with barbeque sauce. I was not a fan of it but it could be because I was thinking it would be shrimp and there was no description saying otherwise. The broth was not bad and it soothe my throat. Egg Drop Soup- I really liked the egg drop soup. It was tasty and had lots of egg floating around. The best part was it wasn't full of food dye and looked like my moms when she makes it for me. It comes with the fried noodles and just hit the right spot for someone not feeling well. Combination Fried Rice- It was tasty and had shrimp, chicken, bbq pork, peas, etc. I thought it was a little greasy but that did not take away from the taste. Overall, the food was not bad but I will have to come back and try something else when I am not sick and maybe some sushi.

This place has friendly and efficient service. The menu is extensive with both Chinese and Japanese options. My friend and I both ordered the two (select) sushi rolls special for $9.00. California rolls are $5.00 each, so basically you save a buck. No miso soup like other places such as IKKO offer for the same or cheaper price. Rolls were good, but nothing special. I didn't have anything exotic or fancy, just plain old, safe American-loving California rolls.

Everything I've ever ordered from this place is great. Heads and shoulders above typical take out fare. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because of the set up; allthough there are tables it is a tight fit and take out patrons have to walk and congregate thru the tables to the take out counter. The have a small sushi bar , which I have not sampled. The outdoor seating is sparce but another a-typical beneift of Siu's.

The service was so nice. It was pretty busy when we came in to eat but food came out quickly. I really don't have much else to say other than the fact that both the service and food were fast and good. I ordered the crunchy roll and the black dragon roll. The black dragon roll was the bomb - I'm a huge fan of eel and avocado and it was just on point. Definitely give them a try! It's not a super fancy authentic Japanese restaurant, but it hits the spot.

Everything I have gotten here has been great and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I recommend the crab rangoon, the goddess roll, and the general tso chicken or shrimp.

I eat sushi a LOT and I've passed by this place for years not thinking too much of it until I saw the Yelp. I have definitely been missing out!!! Every roll I had was delicious. The seaweed salad was plentiful and did I mention the sushi?! Come and enjoy. A true Silver Spring gem.

Found this place once almost 2 years ago and have been coming back since. I admit I have only had the sushi (and a few appetizers) so I can't speak to the other food on the menu-- the sushi is too good to get anything but. The rolls are really good sized for the price, especially the special rolls. For the price, it's the best sushi you can get around. I've never had anything that tasted bad (as you can get with some sushi places in strip malls). The crab ragoon, spring rolls, dumpings, and gyoza are also delcious- they're my go to apps. Oh course, thai iced tea is always a delicious addition. I really have nothing bad to say about this place- staff is also super courteous and doesn't rush but also never leaves you waiting long.

Great sushi! I love the "love at first sight" roll. It was very fresh and filling. I mainly get take out, however it has a nice dining area. The non sushi items are pretty good. Pad Thai is good, Singapore noodle were great and the drunken noodles were just ok. Overall a great Asian option.

Dismal customer service and raging diarrhea. Not how I wanted to spend my first night in Silver Spring. I will be avoiding Siu's in the future.

Great great food!!! I love that they deliver, but even on their slowest days, they still take an hour to deliver and that is pretty disappointing. My job is five minutes away from their restaurant; we call for delivery ever other week and they always take "55 minutes". I will say.. Their sushi is amazing and I will NOT DENY IT! Their staff is super friendly and they have NEVER walked around with a bad attitude. You honestly cannot go wrong with Sui's Asian Bistro! Delivery? Ehh, just don't expect a fast delivery. I will say, the delivery man is super funny and very nice! :) The staff is humble and that's a big win for me!

We love Siu's! I've eaten here any number of times, both using carry out and dining in. I have personally found dining in to be a better experience, as some of the people who handle the phone orders can be rude. The reason I give four and not five stars is due to a mishap on one of our carry out orders a time ago. The woman took the order incorrectly, charging us for things she never actually gave us. My husband went back, with the bags in hand, and she was very rude. She essentially behaved as though we could have slipped the items in question out of our bag, refusing to give us a refund or even give us the items. I didn't let this ruin Siu's for us, because we do love their sushi and there aren't that many good sushi places around the suburbs of silver spring. Most recently, my hubs and I went to eat at Siu's, for a relaxing Sunday funday lunch! We had Henry as our server, who greeted us with a smile, and took our rather complicated orders perfectly. He was very attentive, though I must confess the eating area is small, so it's not a difficult feat. That does not, however, make the exceptional service we received from Henry any less exceptional. I will continue to be a patron of Siu's, but will likely eat in and save myself the hassle of dealing with the carry-out cashier/phone people. I'd also like to note that the young lady working the phone and cashier this past Sunday is NOT the woman I spoke of in my earlier paragraph. This young woman was also very sweet, and like Henry, she greeted us with a huge smile.

Came back with my mother and the significant other for a light lunch. The place was still a little cramped but what can you do about that? The food was delicious (as always). They also allow you to order the lunch specials on Saturdays until 3. Good food at a great price! The staff was attentive without being overbearing. My mom even took a carry-out menu with her and plans to come back when she is down for our wedding in November. She was really impressed with their General Tso Chicken. She said that the breading was very light and the sauce was sweet, but not overbearing.

We pass by here all the time and we ended up here after finding out TGIF is full and did not want to wait. We came here at around 10pm on a Friday night and the place was not packed at all... Service: of course we got seated immediately however, we receive our water right away. Our water glass was not empty for more than 5 minutes. Our server was friendly and efficient. Food: Delicious. I had sushi and my husband had sesame chicken with chicken fried rice. Portion was reasonable that we ended up with a doggy bag. Overall: the quality of food you get is definitely worth the money. A must visit if you happened to be around the area. Place is small with limited tables. Private free parking is available. It is right next to the sad, empty Jerry's Subs & Pizza.

Went here with my hubs for our date night. We ordered a large bowl of sweet and sour soup ($5), vegetable sushi roll ($6), and crispy beef (~$12). The soup was a little salty and not very sour. The roll was decent. We both enjoyed the crispy beef entrée which was served with rice. They were generous with the portions. We took some of our leftovers to go. Food came out quick. Our server was cordial and offered to refill our water often. We noticed many people came in to get take out. Guess we will do the same next time if we ever crave Asian food and too lazy to dine in. The restaurant is clean and pretty small (it had about 8 tables of 4).

Small little spot off tech road. I've been a few times now and having both the sushi and the real food, I gotta say the sushi tends to be a bit more delish. Service was just ok. Good lunch special prices.

Traveling through Maryland for work when I discovered this place. Let's just say that I liked the variety and taste of the food so much that I didn't want to explore the other restaurants in the area, and I'm here for the second time in two nights. TAKE-OUT EXPERIENCE: This place is exactly as the name implies, an Asian bistro. They offer most of the classical dishes between Japanese, Chinese, and Thai cuisines. I started yesterday with a sushi and sashimi combo, and a beef lo mein. Both were to go since I was on the run at the time. Browsing thru the menu was pretty easy, and they were fast in preparing the food. The food came well packaged, and tasted great when it was time to eat. DINE-IN EXPERIENCE: Tonight I decided to take my time and dine-in. I decided on the regular sushi entree, and the beef Pad Thai. For drinks I went with the hot Japanese green tea, and treated myself to a small hot sake. The presentation for the sashimi was excellent! The tuna was even done in a flower arrangement that was both entertaining to eat and to look at. The Pad Thai tasted great and it had a good balance between all the ingredients. The sake bottle came cleverly wrapped in a "scarf" made it if the restaurant napkin with was nice to look at, while protecting you from the heat of the bottle while pouring. The green tea tasted flavorful and they kept refilling, so the tea was always hot and enjoyable. Service here was great, and I had a great view of the Maryland sky at sunset over the nice clean plaza here. If you're passing by town like I was, definitely stop by to check out the place. If you're a local, also stop by to check it out, you might end up becoming a regular like many others I've seen coming in... the staff know them by name!

I have high standards for General Tso's tofu and this restaurant really exceeded my expectations! We called in our order and it was ready 15 minutes later for pick up. Staff was pleasant. In addition to the tofu, we ordered vegetable lo mein and golden tofu which were perfectly fried pieces of tofu with a sweet-and-sour sauce on the side. It was all very fabulous and I'm looking forward to eating it for lunch again tomorrow.

Realistically I would give this place 3.5, but I decided to round up. Stopped in the shopping center looking for somewhere to eat with my mom. I'm a sushi fanatic while she hates raw fish. Luckily, Siu's Bistro has an extensive menu. She got the shrimp teriyaki and I got the spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls. We also split an order of the friend tofu. She really liked her food (smelled good too). The sushi was tasty - nothing incredible but it was good. It wasn't as spicy as I was hoping for, though. I didn't go for any of their speciality rolls, maybe those are better. The restaurant itself is very small but really well decorated. My only problem was that they seemed to only have one main waiter who was handling most of the tables, so I felt like we waited kind of long. The food was good though so I don't mind. In the end I definitely recommend stopping by, they have something for everyone.

And my pursuit of piscatorial perfection proceeds... After leaving the MVA's emissions test, I found this little place a couple of blocks away. Little indeed, 10 tables plus the sushi bar. They must have taken up a lot of the space for the kitchen, since the menu includes Chinese and Japanese and Thai dishes. I have my doubts when I see a lot of cutesy rolls being touted, and (a first) both a fork and chopsticks on the setup. Crossing my fingers, I order the Kirin and Chriashi that is my standard test of a sushi place. The Kirin is bottled rather than draft, but served at the correct temperature, refreshingly cool but not so icy as to kill the taste. The salad is a pleasant surprise, unrefrigerated mixed greens, no iceberg, routine ginger dressing, garnished with sesame seeds. The chirashi is served in a decorated bowl, and artfully composed (see photo). The garnishes of shiitake, shredded kombu, and pickled radish are quite nice. Tomago, surimai, and shrimp are unexceptional. Snapper, yellowtail, and salmon are pretty good, tuna is very good. The underlying rice is traditionally correct: slightly warm with hints of sugar and vinegar. The soy sauce is worth noting - low salt and high complexity rather that the usual commodity grade. Service is prompt and cordial. Prices are a buck or two higher than comparable places. Four stars with a plus - very nice but not quite reaching the foodgasm level.

Really enjoy getting sushi here, it's pretty much my go-to sushi place when I'm at home. I've gotten everything from deluxe sushi/ sashimi platters to your standard salmon, tuna, and whitefish rolls. The fish is fresh and quite tasty. The space is small, but well decorated and well staffed. It can get pretty cramped around lunch time, but there's a reason why their customers keep coming back. On the sushi side of things, I can't get enough. My only disappointment was when I came here most recently with my mother who had the Teriyaki Chicken, and we were both unimpressed with the dish. It was ok, but it seemed like the chicken had been cooked and then spread with sauce, rather than being flavored or marinated as it was cooking. So I'm not sure about their other offerings, but I'm definitely a fan of their sushi.

Nothing fancy, wood chairs and tables strip mall setup. Service fast attentive and efficient.... and very friendly. Big seaweed salad, nice fresh edamame, and 15 self picked sashimi. White tuna, maguro, hamachi, saba, and sake. (White tuna, tuna, yellow tail, mackerel, salmon)..noticed 50% of the take out and sit in clientele were Japanese / Asian and some greeted by name! Regulars!! Thin and trim as well. Next store at Chik Fila and then Panera Bread all the Lipitor - crowd were rolling in and out. (social sad diet comment off ;-) Product was fresh and well prepared and presented. Very good sashimi. The saba and sake were the best. (Mackerel and salmon) this quiet sneaky understated spot is a real winner. Moderately priced for sashimi and sushi a very good value.

Around noon today I was looking for a real meal and saw this restaurant. At this place, I read one reviewer recommended the Gen Tso meal but I went with a more expensive lunch item: 2 kinds of sushi for $9 bucks. Boy, I really wished I ordered the gen Tso. The Tuna roll looked old, AND it tasted old. It's colored like stale coke and the flavor was so bland, no amount of soy sauce could revive that sucker back to life! Like the California roll that went with it, for $9 bucks I was only provided a sprinkle of rice. It was so tightly wrapped around slivers of fish, avocado and a smidgen of fake lobster, plus gummy, old seaweed, I felt I was eating appetizers at an expensive restaurant. I could have just waltzed right into 5guys burger joint right next door and went home with my tummy full. Price was not worth it. The service was nice though.

The restaurant was smaller than I thought but the sushi is amazing! I ordered the goddess and spider roll, so delicious. The fried wontons wasn't too good, sadly. The food is a tiny bit pricey but worth it! Majority of the employees there seem nice besides our waitress (who was probably the oldest one there). She wasn't very smiley or inviting. I would totally come back there again since it is very nearby where I live!

Siu's has become one of my favorite places for Asian dishes! The lady that takes my order for delivery is always pleasant, the delivery is kinda slow but I don't mind because I'm at least 2 miles from the restaurant. The food is what I call clean (fresh and well prepared) which is awesome! The crispy beef and sushi was delish!

I Love this place and I order delivery from them a few times a week...Same order, Goddess Sushi rolls and Miso soup...So delicious! Decent. I like the sushi choices and my go to us the Volcano Roll. I really like that they have Chinese, Japanese, and Thai options. We eat here often during Lent as they have a vast veggie section (even veggie sushi!) I give three stars because it's a little pricey (compared to other comparable Restaurants in the area)

I've been going to Siu's for about a year. My business takes me near there on a regular basis. Even when I'm not too close...I'll go out of my way to go there. GREAT FOOD! EXCELLENT STAFF! Very friendly. I'm in the customer service business and I would rate theirs as high as any restaurant around. Impressive! I highly recommend Siu's! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

I've been going to Siu's for a few years and I gotta say that it's a really good place to go to for everyone. It's kind of hidden and pretty small, though they do try to accommodate us whenever we arrive with a relatively large party. I've been there for both lunch and dinner on the weekends and 9 times out of 10 we have been able to find a table. Their appetizers are great (try the Egg drop soup, Crab rangoon, and the Avocado salad). And their chinese entrees have never failed us thus far. The best dish we've tried here is the General Tso's Chicken. But we also recommend the Shrimp Lo Mein and the Seafood Saute. The portions are very generous so it's a great steal for the quality and quantity of food your receive. Their brown and white sauces definitely beat the greasy, messy sauces found in chinese take out. I highly suggest that you come before 3pm because that is when they offer their lunch specials (everyday except Sunday). The only dishes we did not like were the Thai inspired dishes. The dishes taste like they used almost the same seasoning from their chinese dishes and threw in a few alterations. It doesn't taste like Thai food at all. So just stick to the suggested dishes list as well as their chinese selections and you'll leave happy and satisfied :)

I'm very torn about Siu's. I've been in for dinner and the food was great, really delicious and well balanced. But whenever I order delivery, the food has been overly sauced and heavy for my liking. I won't stop ordering from Siu's, but if I find somewhere better I'll probably choose the latter. Nevertheless, try the avocado salad- the dressing is very yummy and peanut-y

But third day is trash si get ready to have your taste buds for a shock and a belly so full it hurts to sit. Lol can't wait to run for the rest of the week to burn off their food so I can do it all over again. Lol

Dear Corbo E., I lied to you. I know I said I would seek verification from you on Asian restaurants in the DC area as you are recognized as the Asian food guru. In my defense, I didn't. I went rogue. Sadly, my rogue mission was a disaster. So, I was in the Silver Spring area and in the mood for some sushi. My yelp app led me to a small shopping center containing Siu's Asian Bistro. Siu's is a very small and dark space that has limited seating. The restaurant was basically empty with the exception of a few customers that picked up take out orders. My anxiety started to rise as I wondered what I had gotten myself into. Despite my reservations, I ordered the shrimp tempura, udon noodle bowl, Philadelphia roll, California roll and Boston roll. On to the positives: The shrimp tempura was atrociously presented. It looked like a corn dog or kabob on a skewer that was matted in tons of coconut batter. Although it looked horrible, it actually tasted pretty good. The shrimp was properly cooked and the batter, although messy, had a decent texture. Both the Philadelphia and California rolls were decent. They weren't earth shattering but compared to the other things I ordered, they were passable. The Negatives: The Boston roll is disgusting. Strong language but I'm trying to save people's taste buds! This was a bad choice that I made and I should've known better. Lettuce in a sushi roll?? I think it can be pulled off but I would trust higher end places with reputable sushi chefs. At Siu's? I don't know if the sushi chef doubles as the dish washer and maintenance man but YUCK! The biggest issue was that the lettuce was extremely bitter and that was the predominant flavor. The Udon noddle bowl is not only an insult to all udon noodle bowls but ethnic cuisine in general. If Asian tourists came to America, visited this restaurant and tried this abomination, I have no doubt that they'd be headed to their respective country's embassy to file an official complaint. Where do I begin to describe this thing? The noodles were disintegrating and had a grainy sort of texture. The broth tasted like chemicals. Two sips was enough. In conclusion, Corbo, the lesson has been learned. I can overlook your poor and misguided taste in sports teams. That being said, your title as the DMV Asian Food Ambassador is without question deserved. I humbly bow to your awesomeness.

My coworkers and I ordered a delivery for lunch. The RICE WAS ROTTEN. It had a horrible smell to it that clearly indicated it was more than a few days old. Do not go here. Who knows what else is going on in their kitchen. I had high hopes for this place because they deliver and their menu is so diverse, but I'm appalled and never ordering from there again.

Ok. I wrote a review about this place not too long ago. I have been really disappointed with the food/service here so we haven't eaten here a lot. Well, we were in the area and wanted sushi so we ended up at Sui's. Our waitress was pretty abrasive to say the least. She went as far as snatching the menu out of my moms hands. I guess she was taking too long to order. So our food was actually really good this time. I was thinking that maybe they had stepped up their game. No We ate our food and payed. While sitting there my mom happened to look up and seen something so gross. Ya know the duck sauce and hot mustard containers they place on your table if you get egg rolls? Well my mom seen our waitress take the USED/EATEN duck sauce from the table next to use and put in back in the container with duck sauce and hot mustard. THE DUCK SAUCE OFF OF THEIR PLATES!! What? I almost couldn't believe it. I can't imagine that that sauce cost that much that you need to put the leftovers back into the containers you place on the tables. I almost feel sick to my stomach thinking about how gross this is. If she did this right were customers could watch her do it then I can only imagine their sanitary skills are behind the scenes. This place is going downhill fast. I will never eat here again.

Their food is amazing!! I've only ever tried the general tso chicken and orange chicken, combination fried rice, and vegetable fried rice, and they are a 10/10. They have a lunch special every day from 11am- 3pm which is pretty great. I'm not a sushi eater, matter of fact I've never tried a piece of sushi in my entire life, but by the reviews of the sushi from this place I might have to actually try some! I'm looking forward to it!

I would rate this place as average. I have only had sushi so cannot speak to the other food. The sushi seemed fresh but the rolls were messy and falling apart. It was ok but not worth rushing back for.

We had lunch here. Disappointing. We had the Spicy roll combo sushi and they were pretty flavorless and the texture of the fillings was mushy and yuck. The fried shrimp roll was good.

Excellent service and outstanding food. I had 3 people waiting on me while I dined. Each person was attentive and cordial. I sat at the sushi bar and had great conversation with both of the sushi chefs. I order a regular sushi medley ( chefs choice) and was happy that I was given a great selection of sushi (far from the standard). I also was given a nice seaweed salad to taste (no cost). I have to say this is one of the best sushi experiences I have had in a long time. Ranked in my top 5. Had a great dining experience.

I've enjoyed my experiences at Siu's. The host and waitstaff are always friendly and will make recommendations for you if you ask. The food is never greasy (at least not in my experience), and it's reasonably priced. In particular, I recommend the egg rolls, the shrimp fried rice, the shrimp lo mein, and the bbq spare ribs. My boyfriend has had the teriyaki chicken and the General Tso's chicken, and he has really liked those. The teriyaki chicken is all white meat, which I appreciate since I don't like dark meat chicken. I've only gotten delivery once. It took about 45 minutes, but such is life. No that Asian Delight (my previous go-to Chinese place) is closed, I appreciate having another restaurant that will deliver. Siu's also has Japanese food, and I look forward to trying their sushi once I can eat raw fish again.

I love this place. The seating is limited but the staff is pretty friendly. I love the General Tso's Shrimp here and the Shrimp Tempura Rolls. I usually go here for carryout because they don't have many tables.

Siu's is as authentic Chinese as it gets, because when you call in an order it's like you're calling China. I had to repeat my order 4 times.

Best sushi I've had in a long time. My husband I moved to just north of the city and were hunting for a new sushi spot. We really missed out favorite spot in PA since we've moved and have been disappointed with the quality of sushi in the DC area. The only relatively good places are way overpriced and just not worth it. The only decently priced places are crap. We pretty much gave up after a few months. I came on yelp, saw the reviews for Siu's, and decided to give it one more shot. I'm so glad I did. First, walking up, we were very nervous. It's a TINY place and looked like a chinese takeout-type place. It's a little cramped, but we still went in. I ordered the volcano roll, and it's now all I order. I have also tried: roll of the year and goddess roll. All of them are amazing, but especially the volcano roll. From the kitchen, the chicken satay is great as well. But we really stick to sushi. Service is great - everyone is very attentive. We like to get in and out fast, and our water glasses are always full. We are probably here once a week or so - it's gotten to the point where they just put in the order when they see us coming. All in all, I can overlook the small space for amazing sushi...

Great if u call or go during the day. Not so much at night. The lady who works every night is the nasty and rudest person you will ever deal with. I would post her name but I'm having trouble remembering it right this moment. It is my favorite for sushi in the area but refuse to order anymore if it's after 5 pm. She has ZERO customer service skills and should not have a job there. She is the downfall of that restaurant. She will hang up on you amongst other rude things she will do.

I ordered Chicken with curry and it was so so. I think this is a place to eat Japanese food (which I don't eat) but not a good place to eat Chinese food. The restaurant is small and clean.

  • Trevor R.

I've eaten here a few times now and have been impressed with what we've ordered, mainly on the Chinese portion of the menu. Homemade steamed dumplings are great. Egg drop soup is very good, $4.50 large bowl is huge - enough for 2-4 people to share. Last time we had an order of the drunken noodles that were tasty, but not as spicy as I like them. Dining room is small but clean and nice enough. Service has been good each time I've been there. Prices are reasonable. A solid Asian food option for the area. I recommend for a casual dining experience, but a group over 6 would have a tough time finding a table due to the small dining room size.

This place is amazing! I've had sitdown service and delivery. The food is always cooked perfectly, and by food I'm referring to real chicken and properly cooked vegetables.

Decided to stop here for dinner since it was close by. Cute little place. A few tables, the one problem was when the door would open, depending on where you're siting, lots of cold wind tonight! Waiters were very nice and attentive. Food took a little while to get to us. The spider roll was delicious!! I ordered the chriashi sushi, even though the cost of it had me a little leery. $13.95 where most places are $19.95. I got my sushi and realized why, bare bones, sashimi on top of rice, not radishes, no marinated mushrooms, etc...It was what they said it was. LOL Fish was fresh, but yes, not fulfilling. Brother had the sushi deluxe and that too looked a little skimpy. Oh and hot tea is $2.50/person whereas at other places it's free. May go back to try the other food they serve, but will hit elsewhere for sushi.

This is one of the ONLY places I will get sushi and Chinese food from, my sister enjoys their Thai food. There are so many options and I've NEVER had a bad meal here. This restaurant uses good quality ingredients that you can tell are fresh. Customer service is amazing and they really try to make it an enjoyable experience. Also, keep in mind it's a locally owned business; support local business!

Ordered the avocado roll, Futo Maki roll, California roll, tomago, and inari. Very good. And they deliver! And they deliver beer and wine! Support this oasis in our delivery desert! Am trying their Chinese tonight - will update as needed.

Love, love, love their Caught in a Bad Romance roll which consists of shrimp tempura, crabmeat, avocado, cucumber and tobiko outside. Super yummy and pretty filling since the pieces are pretty big. The Volcano roll is also super yummy, its fried and comes with some spicy sauces that make it even better. This place is a hit or miss. I have tried their chicken lomein which lacked flavor so I really just go for the two rolls I mentioned. Also, their gyoza (Japanese style dumplings) are pretty tasty and also come with a semi spicy soy sauce that I do enjoy.

When Siu's first opened I was one of their biggest fans. At least once a week there was an order for cali rolls and miso soup in my belly. Lately though...that's changed. The delivery service takes FOREVER...and when the sushi arrives it's not even that fresh!! Annoyance set in after multiple order malfunctions and mediocre food. Sorry Sui's...but after the last delivery you lost my patronage.

Nasty food! The wonton soup was made of fake meat and thick skin. It felt like we were eating plastic. The broth was not good as well. It was just plain chicken broth. The drunken noodles were very extremely bland and the noodles were over cook. It was very mushy. Great friendly service. We were greeted with a friendly hello and "happy new year". We went around Chinese new year. Never going back again. I don't feel like wasting money. I rather have 3 piece fried rice from wing wah down the street from us.

Had a taste for Thai last night and this spot was around the corner from my house. I was completely disappointed with my meal. It was tasteless and really greasy. The staff was friendly but the food was subpar. Definitely won't return and it's a shame because it so close to home.

Ordinary Asian place. Didn't enjoy as much as I had expected. We have surely had better food in this category. I am not sure what to recommend, but strongly recommend to go for anything except their Thai listings... Not worth it. (Review based on veg food only, not even veg sushi)

I spent 20 years in the food business. I can tell you that this place sucks. I had the worst lunch ever. I ordered the lunch special sashimi. They served me a normal California roll and the four smallest pieces of luke warm fish I have ever had. They were small and thin. The worst part was when I was charged the "dine-in" prices when instead of the "take out" menu I ordered from. The waitress ignored my request to be charged the prices that I saw. She denied me and my request to be charged the amount I read on the menu and claimed that there was no manager on duty. Go next door to FiveGuys, you'll be much happier.

I called Siu's Asian Bistro after looking at menus and restaurants in the area for a corporate lunch to be delivered to a local hotel. (I am based in the SF Bay Area.) Josie at Siu's Asian Bistro was super helpful, and re-assured me that everything would be delivered on time.(It was.) She also made sure I had enough food for the number of people, as well as drinks, plates, and plasticware. Super thorough and great service! In the end, everyone was happy and fed. Hurrah! Thank you, Josie, for a job well done! I will use you again!

Meh. I've had better. I feel like the prices are waaaay to high for their food. I went here after work once and got the combination rice and shrimp tempura sushi, I should've gone to 5 guys instead for the money I spent. The sushi was not good, just ok. The rice was actually good except for the peas and carrots (which I think shouldn't be in fried rice). Would I dine here again... If all the restaurants around it closed and I was starving.

This little strip center restaurant has a great lunch combo - terryaki chicken or steak and some California rolls for a reasonable price. The food is very good. Only problem is that it is a pretty small place, so you can't help but feel crowded. Good quick lunch spot, though.

  • Laura R.

Absolutely love the food here!! The pad Thai was amazing and brought out very quickly. The waiters here are very attentive and fast to take your order and refill your glass. The only downside is that it's a small restaurant and the tables are pushed a bit too closely together. You really have to ignore the conversation of the stranger sitting inches next to you. The lunch menu, Thai and Chinese dishes are priced well but the sushi is a bit expensive. Overall though, I love it - great quality and portions and I definitely plan on going back.

Long tome since I've given 5 stars. Attitude drives this place. You can't get more than 3 feet inside the door without someone greeting you. At this sitting, we had the Sesame Chicken, Miso Soup, hot n sour soup, Mongolian Beef. It's all slightly different from other places, and good. If I were to guess, I'd say Siu's tends toward SLIGHTLY spicier. SLIGHTLY. It's great, trust me. Check out the menu on the Web. They even have their own delivery guy.

  • Heena P.

They have a pretty good menu selection, with extensive Sushi and Sashimi options. We ordered carryout from this place. Me: Small Shrimp Fried Rice Shared: 2 Vegetable Spring Rolls. Boyfriend: Sweet and Sour Chicken The portions are very generous and the flavors for both dishes are well balanced and clean. There are so many Chinese take-outs in the vicinity with food that is greasy and unappetizing, so this is a welcoming change. And, it is relatively cheap for the quality of food. I would definitely order from there again.

  • Crystal J.

My friend and I checked this place out for lunch on a Wednesday. I got the sushi spicy combo roll and he got the sushi "choose 2 rolls" option. My dish was delicious and decently sized but his left a little to be desired; the portions were small and he should have gone with the "choose 3 rolls" option. On our way out the door, we saw another table with the chinese-type food lunch combos that include rice and a fried eggroll, and those portions seemed great for the price. One thing to mention, we looked up their lunch menu and prices on their website prior to going and the prices were higher when we got there (which was annoying). The place is pretty quaint and probably not ideal for large parties.

I've been going to this place regularly for about 2 years now. I'm a big fan of the sushi (highly suggest the firecracker roll or spicy salmon). I recently tried the green curry with chicken and fell in love! It's the best blend of sweet and spicy I've had in a while. Overall, the price is good...in the average range.

the reason it's not 4 stars is because the asian lady that is like the boss lady was a little rude. on top of it, they were doing restaurant work in a booth. like wrapping utensils. YES I know it's a bistro, so it's small but still. The food was actually really good. We had gen tso's chicken, and curry chicken. those were on point as well as the eggroll and fried rice. The Sushi was a little small, and I was hoping for more fish in each roll. The tab was high, bc of the sushi. So I won't be ordering sushi here again just chinese. Overall I liked this place. I would go back, but not for sushi or dinner just lunch again.

This place isn't bad. It was near my hotel and was hungry for some makis. I had the Siushi Rock Roll. It was good and fresh, no complaints. As far as price, it's just as pricey as the next sushi place. $11.95 for 8 slices. An order doesn't fill me up, so I try not to go hungry when I go to these places. Service was decent, we weren't treated bad. Oh but the floors, the floor were we sat was sticky. I was not a fan of that. They have a menu on their website. It's a big menu, worth checking out before you go.

Get the roll of the year, sushi roll. So goooooood. My food was delivered to me at my hotel room door. It was phenomenal. Next time I am here on business I will order from here again.

Not bad, but not my favorite. They are very friendly and quick with take out orders. We had the edamae, spicy salmon, crunchy roll, ungi, and california roll and all it was fine, but not exciting. In this area it is hard to find a solid take out/delivery place that isn't pizza or wings. We will order from them again.

Sushi is a disgrace. Not only it took almost 2 hours for delivery I was hoping that at least it was worth the wait. Unfortunately there are no good sushi joints in the area. I'd rather go to the district and enjoy good true sushi. When in the district think of Kaz sushi bistro, Fujimar or SEI. Nuff said.

Delivery sushi + alcohol delivery= pure bliss. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is a.) the price was a little more steep than i was anticipating, and b.) as was mentioned in one of the other reviews, the pad thai was a little sub par (overcooked noodles and flavor was off. I will stick to Noodle King on New Hampshire for that dish). I ordered the "Caught in a Bad Romance" roll just out of necessity (huge gaga fan here) and it was amazing. Shrimp tempura, crunchy flakes, and spicy sauce? effin' delicious.

Wow I am so behind on this review. We've been ordering from here since shortly after Siu's opened almost a year ago. I really love this place and it's pretty much the only place we order takeout from. The pickings are pretty slim in our neighborhood. First off, the people who answer the phones for takeout orders are always super friendly. One day I called to order lunch and the woman congratulated me on being their first customer of the day! How nice is that? We have never experienced any problems with our orders and everything has always shown up exactly as it was ordered. The delivery people are also very friendly. We usually have the same guy and we should probably be on a first name basis with him at this point. The food is really good. My favorites are the gyoza (from the Japanese part of the menu), the beef lo mein, the Mongolian beef, and the Chicken Curry (from the Thai section of the menu). The Chicken Curry has become somewhat legendary in our home. I got it once on a whim and I couldn't believe how good it was. I hadn't had a curry that good since we were in Thailand! Seriously. My parents were down visiting us a few months ago and we got my Dad to try the Chicken Curry (and my parents aren't the most adventurous when it comes to foreign cuisine) and he LOVED it. It's hot though- so be warned. It's totally worth it though! This place is a very welcome addition to the area. It's the best takeout around. P.S. They deliver booze!!!! It's not cheap but if you're in a pinch you can have some Kirin Ichiban (only one of the selections available for delivery) delivered to your door along with some great food!

Cute little spot in a new shopping center. Food is a solid three - nothing inherently wrong, but nothing really flavorful as well. For example, my tofu dish which I asked for extra spicy was still rather mild, a bit salty and just not too flavorful, but had nice veggies and some fresh peas. The spring rolls weren't bad at all, but came accompanied with a bland sauce, or a mustardy/horseradishy sauce? I just didn't get it. Menu may be a bit too extensive, perhaps they should reduce it and improve the existing. Wait staff was very nice and attentive, and there is a cute little sushi bar. This place has a lot of potential, there's not much in the immediate area and I wish they would hone the menu a bit more. Not so sure the Thai should be on the menu either... Thai loses BIG in these pan-Asian type spots from my past observations and confirmed by another review on Siu's.

Studied at Panera for a while.. didn't want to eat Panera after having sat there for hours smelling Panera. I walked around to see what else was nearby. Saw Siu's, and decided to check it out.. Should've stayed at Panera. Inside, it's fairly small. There were a lot of customers, and the ambience/mood wasn't bad. Low lighting, soft chatter throughout dinner. Not bad.. The lady and I ordered sushi. We weren't expecting anything great from a place that had Chinese, Japanese AND Thai on the menu. But what I got was unacceptable. Tiny, measly little rolls that cost $6. I got a spicy scallop roll, which came in 6 pieces. I'm sorry, but Todai uses cooked scallops in their spicy scallop rolls, and even THAT atrocity tasted better than what I had at Siu's. I also ordered a Yellowtail maki roll, which should not be hard to mess up. I somehow ended with a Spicy Yellowtail roll, which cost an extra $1+ and had some nasty spicy mayo nonsense on it. It. was. not. good. at. all. Girlfriend got two rolls: vegetarian roll, which was surprisingly not bad, and a Yellowtail maki roll w/ fresh jalapenos (which isn't on the menu and costs extra), and that wasn't bad either. Service was terrible. They got my roll order wrong, didn't bring out my girlfriend's salad, and didn't give us water until we asked for it well after our food came out. Such a waste of $30 for some really crappy food.

Surprisingly not bad. This place just opened in the Tech Road strip mall, and we are always looking for new lunch places (Panera was getting old.) First, the place is tiny- maybe 8 tables and some seating at the sushi bar. But as soon as we walked in the door we greeted with a friendly smile and immediately given seats. We later found out our server was Siu herself, who was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the meal. The food was pretty good, as far as Asian food in northern Silver Spring goes. Decent portion sizes, well cooked meats that are not overly spicy, rice that has a little flavor (but the fried rice could use more). The egg roll was a disappointing- too hard and not very tasty. The prices are a little on the steep side- for some reason carry out is cheaper. But overall not bad.

EVERYONE'S EXPERIENCES WILL VARY AND I WILL TELL MINE First off, i hadn't had breakfast and i was REALLY hungry and craving Oriental cooking. Then i had thought about Sui's Asian Bistro and i went ahead and ordered mongolian beef, shrimp pad thai, and wonderful sushi roll (yes, that is the EXACT name), totalling a WHOPPING $32.00!!! Now, mind you, i ordered take-out so i didn't bother to tip and i'm starting to think it's because of this gesture that they sub-consciously decided not to bother with customer service, as it was non-existent. They had literally just opened when i entered and they we're still cleaning. So i ordered, no problem, and although customer service was non-existent, i went ahead and waited inside the restaurant for my take-out. As i sat there waiting patiently for my food, there was this young, asian waitress, who would not stop talking about how cute her bag was, OUT LOUD. OMG WTF. So, i went ahead and sat on the corner, pulled out my phone and started doing my own thing and next thing you know, that same chick told me to stand up and wait for my order while they continue to clean the restaurant. WTF. OK, mind you it is 30 degrees outside, but OK, COOL, I'll just wait outside then. FINALLY, to the food. The MONGOLIAN BEEF was straight KAKA, in layman's term meaning awful. It had nothing but ONIONS AND GREEN ONIONS AND A COUPLE SLICES OF BEEF. MIND YOU, I'M STARVING AT THIS POINT AND MY FOOD STANDARDS HAVE GONE DOWN, BUT THIS WAS JUST STRAIGHT AWFUL!!! NEXT, to the SHRIMP PAD THAI. OK, now this was a little better, but not much. IT WAS SOO SWEET, the only good thing about this pad thai was the BEAN SPROUT. And last but certainly last not least is the WONDERFUL SUSHI ROLL. OK, first off, I'm a HUGE sushi fanboy. THIS SUSHI IS ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER THAN THAT OF THE ONES YOU FIND AT THE GAS STATION!!! IT WAS FREAKING MUSHY, i hope this is not a left-over!!! OVERALL: EXTREMELY OVER-PRICED FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN CAPITALISM, FOOD IS AVERAGE AT BEST AND LACKING MANY INGREDIENTS, AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NONE-EXISTENT. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO DOWN TO LAUREL. THEY HAVE THIS ASIAN BUFFET FOR HALF THE PRICE AND MUCH MORE DELICIOUS CHOICES OF FOOD THAN THIS PIECE OF JUNK!! have a great day ; )

Siu was not my server, but she was working hard serving and running the place. Huge menu. Good food. Why don't good restaurants like this ever have a good non-corporate, non- fizzy yellow beer available? A good craft beer or Something hoppy would've made it a great dinner.

  • kevin c.

Had pad thai from here as well as the spring rolls. Both were good. No real complaints, but just nothing spectacular either. The chicken pad thai had plenty of chicken as did the tofu version. The spring rolls were actually very good. They were a little above average. Prices are reasonable and the pick up process went off without incident. Overall a good experience and repeat business is likely. Just not enough for 4stars.

  • Rin H.

This place is pretty good, but I will confess that the food doesn't quite bowl me over. Something is...missing. For the location, though, it's hard to find a classier restaurant. I think there's a TGIFridays, a Five Guys, and some other places to get food nearby, but Siu's is actually nice, quiet, and is a cute place for a date. I've had lunch and dinner here, and both times it was pretty quiet, though when babies or kids are there, you can't escape them, due to the small size of the location. I wish this place was a little bigger.

I'm always a little suspicious of establishments vaguely claiming to be "Asian," and featuring staples from the cuisines of three different countries, but Siu's has been a godsend since it opened in my area. Long story short: Don't choose Siu's if you're in a hurry (as other posters have indicated, they're not especially speedy with delivery; the sushi chefs also have a conspicuous habit of starting on your carryout order only when you actually walk in the door). But if you manage your expectations, their inexpensive sushi delivers exactly what it promises, and more! I'm hit with a maki craving about once a week; since Siu's hit my neighborhood, I'm averaging about a 100% self-indulgence rate. I tend to stick to the basics, and a miso soup/spicy tuna roll combo never disappoints. The shrimp tempura roll is simple, but delicious. I've dabbled in the specialty rolls, as well; their Goddess, Love, and Many Fish in the Sea rolls aren't bad, but you can get better value out of a combination of basic rolls. All in all, a great, foolproof place to grab lunch or satisfy a craving. I'm a regular.

I've been dying for a decent sushi place near me (Burtonsville) forever! Now I can't comment on anything other then the sushi, but it is good!! Sorry Hanaro..... when we moved away from your gracious arms, Siu's is ridiculously closer, slightly cheaper, and they deliver!! I love Hanaros of Bethesda (they are 5 stars all the way), but Siu's beats them out on so many other levels. Bottom line, sushi is fresh, staff are nice, lots of creativity with fusion type rolls, and did mention they deliver??? If you even pass this joint on your way home, swing by and grab something to make your own "call". I for one will be sampling an assortment of crazy ass rolls (yet again) for dinner. See ya in two hours "long blonde haired Germanish" delivery man!!!

I can't vouch for the entree dishes but I can assure you that the sushi is completely unacceptable here. The rice is soggy and the ingredients are not fresh. Avoid sushi here at all costs. It's a very small restaurant I would not advise coming here during the winter time and if you do keep your coats on, the door opens frequently and the seating is right in front of the door.

I met up with a girl friend for a quick bit to eat about 6 on a Wednesday night. This place is really small and there were only two other tables there. The service was a little on the slow side. I ordered a Japanese Garden Salad with my dressing on the side, Siu's Vegetarian Roll and the Summer Roll (special for the week). I don't trust raw fish from somewhere that doesn't specialize in sushi. The salad was bagged spring mix on a plate with the traditional ginger dressing for $5! Don't waste your money. The rolls were pretty good. For $5, the vegetarian roll was 6 pieces and exactly what I expected. The summer roll consisted of crab stick and asparagus wrapped in cucumber with a light vinegar based sauce. It was really good on a hot day, but only 5 pieces for $8 was a rip off. Everything was good, but nothing was great. If I lived in the area, I would consider this place for quick carryout. Its not worth a special trip.

There food is alright. The staff is not friendly, our waiter was very apathetic. He looked uninterested, never looked one in the eye. I felt rushed when ordering. I was with my husband and our two year old son, who is a verrrry slow eater. Despite him still eating, they brought over the "your time is up" fortune cookies.

We have been here a few times and the food has been great each time. The chicken curry is tasty without being yellow. The pad thai is some of the best in the area. The low mien is solid. Service is professional and efficient. We will be back.

Ok after going here several times I have to bump it down to 3 stars. Why? Because everything taste the same!! I have tried a few different dishes and they are all kind of the same flavor and kinda meh. Granted, it's been takeout and my first experience was sit down so maybe that's why? The general tso's is good and actually taste different from everything else but that's about it. The egg drop soup is really inconsistent. Sometimes it's crazy thick, like way too much cornstarch, and other times its done right. It's the closest and most decent Chinese (ive not tried their sushi or thai food) I've come across in the area but there is a certain chain Chinese restaurant in nearby Columbia that I would rather make the drive for. Just sayin....

I've been here twice and the first time i got drunken noodles i believe. The portion that i got from my meal was gigantic but i didn't think it tasted that great. The second time i went i ordered sushi and the quality was obviously not thru freshest I've ever had. The price is like the same as every other sushi place I've gone to. I probably ll not go back because i didn't think the food was that great but they did offer delivery which i may take advantage of. Whenever i have that craving for sushi and i don't feel like driving ill most likly call them to deliver to my house.

Did takeout here: - shrimp and veg spring rolls were good. - spicy tuna roll was good. - Pad thai - eek! NOT good - overcooked, broken noodles and tasted like VINEGAR. Weird. Disconcerting. Unpleasant. - varied sushi - good. That's the extent of our attempt so far - will add as we order more. I'm a bit loathe to try more Thai - if you can't do pad thai, that doesn't bode well for other Thai. But the sushi was worthwhile, and the spring rolls were tasty. Update: Changing my rating to 1 start. The shrimp egg roll tasted so weird I couldn't even finish it. The tempura was execute well but just had no taste, and the dipping sauce was like fish sauce - I have to add sugar to it to even be able to eat it. The Posse sushi roll (shrimp tempure wrapped in different types of sushi) also was completely flavorless. My husband said his sushi was very average. The only good thing was the ginger/peanut dressing on the salad. We denitely won't be going back again, which is a shame. It's a cute place in a convenient location. But there just is no FLAVOR to anything. If I'm going to eat, I want to be able to taste something. Very disappointing.

The black pepper chicken and general tso's are both excellent. Service is very quick as well.

Great sushi. If you are like me at don't love raw fish, the volcano roll is a must. The dining room is small, but they make do with quick turn over. Love it

Finally got to check this place out, and it was terrific. It was a cold afternoon, so we started with some wonton soup. Lots of wontons, and delicious soup. We shared the salmon skin rolls, eel rolls, and spicy tuna. Spicy tuna had just the right kick, eel was very good, and the salmon skin was crispy and perfect, probably the best I've ever had. The ingredients were incredibly fresh. We were there on a weekend, but the weekday lunch deals were pretty attractive. Our server/hostess (Siu?) was welcoming and attentive. We have sushi places closer to our house, but I would gladly drive across town for their sushi as often as possible!

I can only speak for the Chinese items on the menu. Some nights it is rather good. Other times it's been mediocre. The inconsistency makes me wonder if they have more than one chef, one/some of which who is/are better than the other/s. One nice thing about the take out/deliv service is that they have beer and wine that they will deliver! The prices are fair and they are adequately friendly.

A group of friends traveled over from VA to sample this restaurant. It was such a wonderful surprise. Great selection of Chinese, Japanese, and Thia cuisine. The sushi was so fresh and fantastic- loved the goddess roll. The avocado salad and edemae were favorable, nice wine list, and loved the dumplings. Owner waited on us along with another server so it was good. Will go back and recommend it.

Closer to 3.5 stars, but didn't give them 4 because the sushi roll selection was a tad limited. I eat a fair amounut of sushi, and I've been to at least a dozen sushi joints. This one does not stand out as exceptional, but it doesn't not stand out as terrible, either. Great addition to the area, but a somewhat random location. Placed a carry out order, but the restaurant was definitely somewhere I'd enjoy a meal. Romantically dark with standard Asian/Sushi restaurant decorations and a nice sushi bar. The rolls had funky names, but nearly every single one has tuna in it one form or another. I love tuna sushi, but I also like variety. Work on that. Plus when we called in and asked if there were any specials (because sushi joints always have specials) we were told they didn't have any. Uh... and upon arrival, what's written on the wall but 4 specials. Thanks guys! Also, yelp shows a coupon deal here, but they refused to accept my phone image (I have the yelp app) in lieu of a printed coupon. Service was otherwise excellent (pick up and paying was a breeze; cashier was friendly). Sushi was fresh and tasty. Ended up ordering three rolls, all with goofy names I can't remember now. Also had the nigiri salmon, tuna, and octopus. Portions were small (I've been spoiled by my favorite Baltimore sushi place, Sushi Hana) but fresh and tasty. We also ordered chicken satay and chicken fried rice for my daughter. Tasty but nothing remarkable.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
